Our family recently vacationed in the beautiful Sunshine Coast of BC. When visiting the town of Sechelt the Blue Heron was highly recommened. “Outstanding Service, First Class Menu
& Best Place on the Sunshine Coast to Watch the Sunset"
While visiting the Sunshine coast my father-in law decided to take us out for dinner to the Blue Heron Inn. When we arrived we were greeted immediately by Gail, who seated us out on the patio overlooking the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. It was spectacular to watch the sunset from this location. We ordered our meals- my daughter and I had the special, which was salmon, prawns and halibut with grilled veggies and rice. It was absolutely the best seafood I have had in a long, long time and was cooked to perfection...

"Manny's Cooking is Excellent"
We are regular, repeat customers at the Blue Heron Inn on Porpoise Bay in Sechelt. Manny's cooking is excellent, with a good variety of meat, fish and pasta dishes. Generous portions, include a starter salad or soup. A good selection of appetizers, and outstanding deserts - the Chocolate Ganache is over the top. Gail presides over a friendly, efficient dining room with outdoor dining in good weather. Reasonable wine selection and pricing. Overall a great dining experience at realistic prices.

"Great Place"
I have eaten at the Blue Heron Restaurant on many occasions during the past 6 years. I have taken a dozen guests there, but most often have only gone with my wife. The owners, Gayle and Manny, are wonderful people. They treat everyone as if you were an old, dear friend. Manny's dishes are a work of art and simply incredible. The ambiance is simply perfect; a wonderful place for a romantic dinner with that special someone in your life. It is by far my favourite restaurant in British Columbia.

"Unless you Catch it Yourself, Seafood doesn't get Fresher that this"
Pull into the driveway and head down to the water's edge, where the Blue Heron Inn fills the lower level of a family house, This contemporary dining room is adorned with bright floral tablecloths, fresh flower arrangements, and heron-inspired artwork. Luminous little lamps at every table and a fire burning in the large stone fireplace impart a soft golden glow throughout. A wall of windows faces the glassy waters of Porpoise Bay, and almost every table shares the magnificent vista.

The house specially is seafood, and unless you catch it yourself, seafood doesn't get much fresher that this. Start with one of the wonderfully creative appetizers, such as artichoke hearts filled and baked with shrimp, crab, and Parmesan cheese, or Samba prawns sautéed in a garlic cream-Samba sauce. As a main course, we recommend the broiled halibut fillet topped with red onion and strawberry salsa, or the bouillabaisse with fresh fish, scallops, crab, and prawns, served in a lobster bisque.

“Fantastic Evening”
Five of us were out for dinner at the Blue Heron Restaurant tonight. An evening of superb food and personable, warm service by the owner was toped off with a fantastic view of the ocean as a black bear lazily strolled down the beach. We will definitely be back to this quaint country cottage setting in the near future...
